oogaFilms is a production company based in Austin, TX and is headed by Geoff Yano. We specialize in producing short films, building forts, and defeating robots. We do not specialize in needlepoint, political conventions, or finger puppets we thought we would apologize up front, and Geoff is working on the finger puppets. We are also dabbling into the world of documentaries and business advertisement. We are proud to finally venture into the unknown waters of the internet this time without floaties.

Geoff Yano Geoff Yano is originally from Sweden although many people mistake him for being half-Japanese. He made his first movie when he was six, starring himself and his little sister, Stephanie. The set was composed of boxes and blankets, and the camera would wander over to his baby brother, Jordan, instead of focusing on the subject. Riddled with problems on set and with the other cast member, "Geoff's Big Adventure" did not do well at the box office. Shortly afterward Geoff was kidnapped by a rebel band of Russian Bolsheviks who mistook him for a Japanese fugitive. Geoff was so busy trying to spark revolutions with the Bolsheviks that years went by without a movie being made. The Bolsheviks eventually discovered that Geoff was really Swedish, not Japanese, and dropped him back in Texas. Now in high school, Geoff picked up the camera again, started shooting random videos, experimenting with the way a camera works, and fell in love again. While making movies in his high school video-tech class, he realized he needed a name for his productions, thus, oogaFilms was born. Don't ask where the name came from, Geoff doesn't even know, he might have seen it in a dream one time. |

William Jackson William originally agreed to act in oogaFilms' "A Walk in the Park" at gunpoint, but when he discovered he would get to wear his Jedi cloak in one scene, deadly force was no longer necessary. Due in part to his wild success at his first acting job, and in part to his not wanting to hurt Geoffrey's feelings, he agreed to take the role of Really Really Scared Guy That Is Freaking Out And Thinks He Might Be Going Crazy in "Countdown". When he is not acting for Geoffrey, he spends a lot of time working on computers. William does not remember ever being born, or ever being a different height or weight than he is currently. He is also unable to form contractions in speech or writing. For these and other reasons he suspects he is a robot, but no one has ever positively confirmed his suspicions. |

Kyle Dorwart Kyle Dorwart was not "born" in the traditional sense of the word, but more accurately "grown". Part of the Zedd Project, Kyle is a genetically manufactured soldier who was "programmed" to be a bodyguard for Sweden's top VIPs. His training was the most intense to date and few of the other soldiers actually completed the entire program. Shrouded in the cover of his public occupation of Personal Assistant and Head Foreman for Ooga Films, Kyle's assignment of protecting one of his country's most important assets in the arts industry has become ever more dangerous as competing production firms have begun to send trained ninja assassins to remove his charge: Geoff Yano. With his training and instincts guiding him he sets forth to defend his beliefs, his country, and The Swedish Way. |

Dan Jones Dan Jones previously worked as a researcher for the Pentagon. He was highly praised (although never officially) for his work in bio-engineering turning ring-tailed lemurs into supersoldiers in the fight against Communists. He then spent a few years traveling the world in order to "find himself." He eventually found himself in Austin, Texas and became acquainted with Geoff Yano, the Swedish filmmaker. He began to work with oogaFilms both in front of and behind the cameras. He has also done much of the photography in the behind-the-scenes photos found on this very site. |
